Create Assets in MC Kinetic
Create and manage assets on the go in MC Kinetic to keep your data accurate and current, helping your organization stay efficient and organized.

From the main menu, tap Assets > Create Asset.

Manage detailed information about the asset to ensure accurate tracking, maintenance, and reporting. Enter data that identifies and classifies the asset within your organization.
Provide the essential identifiers and status details for the asset. This information helps you locate and manage the asset effectively.

Parent: The parent asset or location related to this asset. You can scan a barcode to fill this field automatically.

Classification: The classification the asset belongs to.

Asset ID: The unique identifier for the asset. You can scan a barcode to fill this field automatically.

Asset name: A descriptive name for the asset.

In service: Select if the asset is currently in service.

Available for service request: Select if the asset is available for creating service requests.

Sub-status: A more specific status to describe the asset’s condition or usage.
Use these fields to connect the asset to internal organizational structures such as repair centers, departments, and projects. These details help with reporting and accountability.

Repair center: The repair center responsible for the asset.

Shop: The shop associated with the asset.

Account: The account linked to the asset.

Department: The department that owns or uses the asset.

Customer: The customer linked to the asset. Use this field if your organization maintains assets for multiple customers.

Zone: The zone where the asset is located. Use this field if your organization manages assets by geographic zone, such as in a school district.
Record manufacturer and vendor information to help with asset management, warranty tracking, and replacement planning.
