Configure Esri ArcGIS Integration

Configure the ArcGIS integration to connect your Maintenance Connection assets and work orders directly to Esri’s mapping platform.

Prerequisites

  • Your organization must have an Esri ArcGIS license (ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4+) to use this feature.

  • Your organization account must have the Creator user type or higher.

Configure Esri ArcGIS

  1. Open Esri ArcGIS.

  2. Go to Content > My content.

  3. Create a web map.

The layers you configure in the web map display in Maintenance Connection.

You can find the GIS Map ID in the URL once you save the map.

  4. Make the map and layers accessible to the API key in one of the following ways:

    • Public map: In Share Map, select Everyone (public).

    • Private map: Grant item access via the API key credential.

  5. Create an API Key and enter the following information:

    • Item access: If the web map is public, select No item access. If the map is private, select Grant access to specific items and choose the web map and its feature layers.

    • Privileges: Select any location service privileges the map requires, such as Basemaps and Geocoding/Search.

    • Expiration: Set an expiration date. The integration stops working when key expires.

You must configure a new key before the expiration date and update in Maintenance Connection.

    • Referrers: Add the Maintenance Connection domain as a referrer URL for security (https://*.maintenanceconnection.com).

  6. Copy the API key immediately.

This is the only time the full key value shows. If lost, you must generate a new key.

  7. Contact Accruent Support, and provide the following information:

    • GIS Map ID: Find the GIS Map ID in the URL of when you open the map. For example, in the URL https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=abc123def456, the map ID is abc123def456.

    • GIS API Key: The key you copied after creating the API key.

    • GIS Portal URL: The Portal URL if you use ArcGIS Online, or the ArcGIS Enterprise Portal URL if you use ArcGIS Enterprise.

    • OAuth Client ID: Only required if you use OAuth-based authentication instead of API key authentication.

    • OAuth Client Secret: Only required if you use OAuth-based authentication instead of API key authentication.

After Accruent Support configures the integration for your tenant, a system administrator must configure permissions in Maintenance Connection to enable the Asset Map feature.
